If there is widespread cancer, a physician must employ imaging to define its extent.

If a human system is corrupted, how can you image that? Can you build a better mousetrap to capture this corruption?  Is there a way to probe the extent of this problem?

You have to think outside the box, but there is a way and it is very interesting to see how widespread a problem this corruption is.
